Configuring GoDaddy shared hosting for Drupal performance

Here are some basic tips on getting the most out of your GoDaddy shared hosting account for Drupal:

  • Ensure that RewriteBase is set in Drupal's root .htaccess file
  • Ensure that there is only one instance of php.ini in your hosting root
  • To get changes you make to php.ini picked up by PHP, change the the name of php.ini to php5.ini
  • Increase your PHP memory limit in php5.ini
  • Disable FastCGI
  • Use the Boost module

I believe what you wrote was very logical. However, think
about this, suppose you added a little information? I am not saying your information is not solid,
but what if you added a post title that grabbed folk's attention? I mean Add new comment | arxic Drupal is kinda vanilla.
You could look at Yahoo's home page and see how they create post headlines to get
people to open the links. You might try adding a video or a pic or two
